Amber Hartman grew up in the suburbs of Detroit competing as a singles skater regionally and performing in many local ice shows. She represented the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where she earned her Silver Tests in Moves in the Field and Freestyle. Upon graduating from high school, Amber left for tour with Disney on Ice Presents Beauty and the Beast and later joined Disney on Ice presents Toy Story. After the tour, she returned to the Detroit area and taught group and private lessons at The Onyx Ice Arena in Rochester, Michigan; Suburban Ice Macomb in Macomb, Michigan and the Grosse Point Civic Arena in Grosse Point Michigan.
In 2003, Amber moved to New York City and took a position at the Ice House Ice Arena in Hackensack, New Jersey teaching group and private lessons. Later, she joined the staff at The Wollman Rink in Central Park in New York City. Now, Amber is the Skating Director here at the Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia and a member in good standing of the United States Figure Skating Association. |
